My Contribution
As a team project with another designer, I designed the OPEN Quest product from a conceptual idea to V1 for Source Networks, created all pixel art, and establish the new brand under the Source Networks brand.
Project Goal
Have a succinct value messaging that funnels in Community members to sign up for OpenQuest in prep for the product launch
Create an engaging platform that creates a gaming element & stickiness for users to maintain accountability to their quests along with their involvement in the community.
Problem
Most Web3 organizations give free handouts(called airdrops) for their tokens that people expect from Web3 or give an opportunity for ICOs(Initial Coin Offerings) for anyone who registered first.
Solutions
OPEN Quest is to create an engagement by adding gaming elements to maintain accountability for their quests along with their involvement in the community.
It gives an equal chance to earn rewards based on their contributions without being influenced by speed.
Build a strong storytelling
Sourcerer's Lore
The player's emotional connection is established through immersive storytelling, allowing them to engage on a deeper level for the first time.
Visual Storytelling
The visual design of OPEN Quest allows first-time players to fully immerse themselves in its captivating world, creating an authentic sense of belonging and engagement.
A guide of OPEN Quest, "Jaddo"
We introduced a character named Jaddo, who serves as the guide in OPEN Quest. Enhancing overall gaming experience by providing a narrative context that engages players on a more meaningful level.
Step by step tutorial
Skippable Tutorial
By offering step-by-step guidance, we ensure players understand game navigation and interaction, with the option to skip if desired
Highlighting where to start
The tutorial's final step highlights the map's starting point, providing clear direction and preventing aimless wandering, enabling effective navigation.
Master map of Community Quest
Quest type
The player can easily track their current map and swiftly switch between different quest types, facilitating seamless navigation and quest selection.
Villages in the Quest Map
The core experience of the platform revolves around the Community Quest map, which consists of four distinct villages, each offering its own set of unique quests.
Branded Villages
Distinct branding in social villages with colours and logos representing each social media platform allows quick location recognition based on familiar branding
In each village, there are various status quests, where the next quests become visible only after completing the previous ones. That creates a sense of progression and achievement. Each quest serves as a milestone that players can work towards, giving them a clear sense of advancement within the game.
Quests in the Village
Recurring Quests
Open recurring quest
By incorporating notification badges, we update the quest icons, instantly informing the player about the active quests.
Notification of new quest
When recurring quests become available, a notification badge is displayed on the village and notification menu.

Learning Outcome
This project is the one I am most proud of because it had the best collaboration between stakeholders and the team. As a result, the project contract was extended, and it continued as a retainer project.
It was my first time designing a game, but while exploring various resources, I enjoyed finding ways for users to naturally immerse themselves in the game.
Due to time constraints in the client project, I was unable to conduct any testing. If possible I would conduct testing and also I would like to implement various types of UX metrics to track data, performance, and the overall success of the user experience and app features.
